Thomas, Jerikka

Hi! I’m Ms. Thomas, and I’m so excited to be starting my second year at Spangler Elementary! This year, I have the joy of teaching our 5th/6th grade combo class. I earned both my bachelor’s degree in Education and my master’s degree in Education from UCLA, and I absolutely love creating a classroom where students feel seen, heard, supported, and excited to learn.

I’m especially passionate about creating fun, engaging, and culturally responsive lessons that connect to my students’ lives and experiences. I also love helping students find their voices, build confidence, advocate for themselves, and grow into strong, thoughtful leaders. One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching students discover what they’re capable of and cheering them on along the way!

Outside of school, I love hiking, reading, crocheting, and spending time with my dogs. I’m so excited for another wonderful year at Spangler and can’t wait to learn, laugh, and grow alongside my students!
