Ortega, Julianna

Hello! I am Mrs. Ortega and I am thrilled to be working at Spangler as the assistant principal. I have worked in education since 2010 and have taught grades first through fifth throughout my years as a teacher. My administrative journey began at Spangler in 2021. I have a master's in Elementary Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University as well as a master's in Educational Leadership from Santa Clara University. I love working with students and helping them feel proud of themselves and their learning. I have a passion for increasing students' social-emotional development and skills.

When I am not at Spangler, you can find me walking my two dogs (Winston and Woodson) or hiking throughout the Bay Area. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my husband, brothers, and parents. You may even catch me at Starbucks since my husband and I love coffee drinks! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
